Simple expressions of kindness can leave lingering thoughts of happiness and pictures of beauty.
Flowers grown by a friend
I discovered this artist on another blog “Ancient Skies” that that I follow. She has so many wonderful songs. I listened many hours to her songs and I hope you enjoy this one.
What is this sadness that I feel. This grief that overwhelms me to despair, when I think of you on the cross. Your life you gave, for my sin.
Temptation, mocking and ridicule, you endured all of this. Pain, rudeness, disrespect continued to the end. All of this you endured for my sin.
You said, “It’s finished”. You suffered and paid the debt for all sin. I will never be alone. Your follower I will be.
JUST GIVE ME JESUS
AT THE CROSS (Love Ran Red) Chris Tomlin
Be still in the moment.
Listen, look at life.
10 Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! NKJV
As freezing temperatures approached, I cut the stem and brought the blooms inside.
While walking in my yard yesterday and I noticed an amaryllis bulb that had grown and produced a strong stem with a richly colored bud.
I knew it was getting ready to open into a beautiful amaryllis flower. This is the first year for one stem to grow by itself. There are many more bulbs at the same spot that have not grown yet. I was fascinated by this one amaryllis fulfilling its purpose, all alone, yet strong and beautiful. Hence the poem below:
Man born of woman
is short of days and full of trouble.
2 He blossoms like a flower, then withers;
he flees like a shadow and does not last.
My first post of the new year. How wonderful to start a new year on this blog. Thank you to all my followers and supporters.
As we sail through life.
The waves may be rough and high.
If Jesus is our captain,
Peace will abide.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I am going to be working on my understanding of formatting and placement of poems so they publish like I post them. I thank of all of you who have supported me in something that I never dreamed I could do. Many of you were strangers at first, but now have become friends.
Merry, Merry Christmas How I love to say those words Happy Birthday to Jesus Is what our words convey Born by the virgin Mary A gift of love given to us An unimaginable sacrifice Words cannot describe Unconditional love, eternal life If we believe in Him God gave His son, Jesus gave His life No higher price for a gift could be paid How I love to say those words Merry, Merry Christmas
16 Rejoice always! 17 Pray constantly. 18 Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Thankful for the day Let peace and love surround us
Your path is lighted when your eyes are on Jesus.
Just to know you are not alone. Just to know someone understands. Someone hears, someone knows. Gives a peace that came from above. That was sent just for you. Hold on to it, it was a gift. Others understand and care. You are not alone.
Feeling prayers everywhere. Knowing God is with you. Brings peace and comfort. That nothing else can do.
Actions and expressions can brighten someone’s day.
Knowing not what to say, often brings silence.
Did you see him?
When you care for us.
You see, listen and care.
Warm compassion and understanding is felt.
Not something that you have learned.
This is sharing something of you.
Given freely to those that you treat.
Your heart we do see as we sit before you.
Through the gentleness and kindness of each thing you do.
The beauty you have in your heart.
Radiates the love you have for your Lord.
Thank you for sharing that love.
When you treat me.
Fall is here!
Reflecting back to early summer, I remembered taking pictures of my peony bush. I love the peony bloom. This year for the first time, I noticed how beautiful the bloom is as it is loosing all of the petals.
Even when all petals are gone the peony bloom is still beautiful. A tribute to the beautiful life lived by a friend of mine.
Being Thankful in all Things
As I have shared my experiences with many people, I have heard and been told many stories of how God has worked in some one’s life. There is nothing God cannot do if we let Him. We are to be thankful for all things. We often do not understand our circumstances but if we trust Jesus we can be certain that the best of the situation will occur. Being human, it may be hard for us to understand how it could be the best, but our trust and faith in Jesus assures us that we will be taken care of and that things will work out for the Glory of God, which is what we desire as Christians. In 2 Corinthians 4:15, we read , Indeed, everything is for your benefit, so that grace, extended through more and more people, may cause thanksgiving to increase to God’s glory. (HCSB)
This is a poem of praise I wrote several years after the event that left me in a mind and body I did not know. I knew if I did not do everything I could on each day I had been given, I was dishonoring God for giving me that day. So this is not a recent event I am writing about, but I just decided to share it publicly. My journey to this point has been long, and it was accomplished only with His help.
Having fun visualizing shapes in the sky while looking at the clouds.
Whatever happens, always be thankful. This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus.
